Yahoo! Pool is a Java based browser game so you have to install Java to your computer and you must enable your browsers Java settings. Your browser also must allow pop ups. It also requires YahooPool 2 applet which will be installed by Yahoo! . While you have to install java software to your computer yourself (don't worry i am here to guide you) Yahoo! will install the Yahoo! Pool 2 applet when you login to Yahoo! Pool, you will be noticed about this if you using MicrosoftVM (Microsoft Virtual Machine) with Internet explorer but not if you are using Sun's java on Mozilla type browsers .

If you are using a Firewall (which you should) you must enable TCP inbound, outbound access for port 11999 to able to play any Yahoo! Games.If you don't know how to please ask your Firewall manufacturer.
