Yahoo! Messenger chat rooms now uses captcha for prevent bots

Yahoo! Messenger team really working hard to bring chat rooms back to you.The latest update is they start to use Captcha like Games team start to use a month ago.

Every time you try to login a chat room you must provide that you are a human not a bot so first you will be taken to an empty room then you will see “Messenger Chat Admin”. The message will contain a link that says: “Please click here to verify your account. This step is required before you can begin chatting”. Click the link and a new window entitled “Chat Room Verification” will open. There enter the characters that match the letters and numbers in the Captcha test. After successfully completing the Captcha test, you’ll be returned to the chat room and see a confirmation message: “Congratulations! Your account is verified and you now have access to chat rooms”. Then just start chatting!.

This seems to make you slower but i know you like to see less bots around cursing or booting you.

Happy chatting :)

It hasn’t stopped the bots at all, they have hacked it. so once again an example of a rule or measure set in place to help people, but only ends up hindering progress of real people and the breakers of that rule or measure still get in lol.

I don’t use chat but i am sick of the hard captcha we use to enter game rooms (i thought they must be the same since its all Yahoo! products).

Since it’s to hard to read i never able to log in at any first attempt :(
