Yahoo! announced widgets engine 4.0 with some new features ,capabilities,improved performance,automatic updates and a new Widget Dock.

Yahoo! Widgets 4 delivers improved performance and a host of new features to help users keep Widgets organized and easily accessible, including:

*Widget Dock — a brand new feature that provides a live, at-a-glance view of your favorite Internet information and services. Users can auto-hide the Dock and attach it to any side or corner of multiple monitors.

* Dramatically improved performance, reduced memory consumption of individual Widgets by up to 40 percent.(1)

* New Widgets by Yahoo! — Yahoo! introduces the Flickr(TM) Widget and the Yahoo! Gallery Widget.

* Streamlined installation, smaller download and a new Widget-centric installation process makes it easier than ever for consumers to get the Widget they want and for authors to promote their own Widgets.

* Improved authoring tools, new functionality and improved tools for Widget authors to build more powerful Widgets.

Yahoo! integrated Messenger in to Yahoo! Mail

Starting Monday and continuing over the coming months, Yahoo! will activate this feature for users of the new version of Yahoo! Mail, which is in beta, or test, phase but available to all users of the service.

This will allows users to run both Yahoo! Messenger and Yahoo! mail programs in one Web browser windows without downloading Yahoo! Messenger.

How it’s look like

You can choose to let your friends know if you are online and available to exchange messages in real time, and you will be able to see the online status of everyone in their contact list as well.

Each instant messaging dialogue will take place in a new conversation tab within Yahoo! Mail, allowing people to chat with multiple friends or business associates simultaneously, without logging out of e-mail. Users will also have the option of converting e-mails immediately into IMs.
